Nachbil Blaufrankisch (Organic) 2018

Nachbil Blaufrankisch from Romania is a supple and juicy red from this increasingly popular grape variety.

Blaufränkisch seems to be gaining popularity at the moment, most likely due to its pleasant juicy style and appealing bright purple colour – while the 2017 had a Southern Rhône feel about it, 2018 feels more Lake Garda in style, with a supple muscularity behind opulent and juicy black cherry notes. A decent backbone of acidity provides structure, while gentle tannins ensure the wine is perfectly approachable in its youth.
